Welcome to the
Health & Rescue Foundation of Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen Club of America
The Health & Rescue Foundation of the PBGVCA supports canine health research for the future of our breed. We are fortunate that the PBGV is a very healthy breed. A critical aspect of maintaining the breed’s health is to educate breeders and owners on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of health issues relevant to the PBGV. At the same time, we are conscious of the need to support research that will lead to future health advances. Here, we partner with the AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF).
The Foundation supports the goals of the PBGVCA Rescue Committee to
fund the rescue of PBGVs
when they are neglected,
endangered, or orphaned.
The Health & Rescue Foundation of the PBGVCA is an independent 501(c)3 corporation that can accept tax exempt donations. It was formed in large part to support the goals of the PBGV Club of America’s Health Committee and Rescue Committee. Specific objectives of the Foundation are:
- To receive and administer funds for charitable, scientific or educational purposes through contributions from the general public.
- To promote, fund and perform research into the health, care and breeding of purebred PBGVs.
- To fund the rescue of PBGVs when they are neglected or endangered.
- To promote the proper care of purebred PBGVs through educational means.
- To promote and fund activities that are directed at preserving the breed.
If you require funding for a need that fits our mission, submit a Funding Request Application to the Foundation President.
